DRAFT

Draft Format: Auction

Draft Dollar Budget: 200

Minimum Bid: 1

Nomination Order: Randomly assigned on Draft Day

Description:

Auction drafting ensures that each owner has an equal opportunity to draft every player on the board during the draft. Following the nomination order, each owner nominates a player for bidding when it is their turn, for a whole-dollar amount which does not exceed their maximum bid (accounting for at least $1 for each roster spot, and draft money already spent).

Each owner then has the opportunity to bid on that player up to their own maximum bid if they so choose. The auctioneer runs through the traditional "going once, going twice, SOLD" at which point the player is awarded to the highest bidder, the draft money is deducted from their balance, and the process repeats itself with the next owner nominating a player until all teams have full & valid rosters per the roster size and position minimums. Once an owner has filled their team, they are omitted from further nominating players. The draft dollar amount is limited to the draft and the draft only, that balance is not carried over to any other purpose in the league. See the WAIVERS section for details on in-season player processing

TRADES

Number of Trades: No limit

In-Season Trade Deadline: Nov 30, 2022 @ Midnight ET (prior to Week 13)

Trade Review Period: 2 days

Votes required to Veto Trade: 5

Offseason Trading: See KEEPERS section

WAIVERS

Waiver format: Continuous (Free Agent Budget)

Budget: 200

Waiver Processing: Monday, Thursday, Sunday @ 12AM ET

Tiebreaker: Inverse order of standings (week by week)

Transaction Fees: No

Description:

Each team has a season-long Free Agent Budget as defined above, where each owner can blindly bid on the Free Agent of their choice. At each of the waiver processing times, the highest bidder for each player is awarded that free agent (assuming they have incorporated appropriate actions to not have an illegal roster with that waiver pickup) and the bid amount is deducted from their Free Agent Budget. Bids start at $0, which means even if an owner exhausts their FAB, they may still pick up players provided that no other owner bid on that player.

KEEPERS

The 2022 Fantasy Football year will not include keepers.

2023 Fantasy Football year keepers need to be voted on ASAP

Trading

Keepers are eligible to be traded beginning at the conclusion of the fantasy season (the end of week 17) up until the day of the draft, should keepers be in effect for the upcoming season.

TEAM MANAGEMENT

Each owner is responsible for ensuring that they are fielding a competitive team each week of the fantasy season & playoffs. If an owner is starting injured players, players on bye week, or has an empty starting roster spot will be deemed to not be fielding a competitive team.

Non-competitive Team: See FAIR & EQUITABLE PLAY Section

Co-Managed Teams

Maximum Team Owners: 2

Maximum Teams Per Owner: 1

In the event of a co-managed team, there will be one "primary" owner and one "secondary" owner. Dues, non-compliance, prizes, and overall management are the responsibility of the primary owner, though the league holds no distinction between which owner performs which actions. Co-managed teams still represent one vote for the league. If both owners submit a vote, only the primary owners vote will count.

ENTERING & EXITING THE LEAGUE

Mid-Season

No team shall enter or exit the league mid-season. If a manager is unable to continue managing a team for any reason, they will forfeit any and all dues, and prizes and the commissioner will set their lineup for any remaining weeks according to highest projected points per position. If the abandoned team places such that a prize would be awarded, the prize(s) will instead be awarded to the next placed team for each award impacted (2nd will become first, 3rd will become 2nd, and so on). At the end of the season, the process will begin to fill the vacancy as described in the 'Offseason' section.

Offseason

While the league cannot forbid a player from exiting the league in the offseason, in an effort to ease the transition for the league, the owner should depart the league in accordance with common courtesy. No re-drafting of the league will occur in this scenario.

A player wishing to enter the league shall have to wait for a franchise to become available via the above 'Offseason' departure process. They shall officially "enter" the league as of the transition date, provide dues, and begin managing the franchise as normal.

If the league is retaining keepers, and four or more teams wish to leave in the same offseason period, a vote will be held to consider a full re-draft or closing of the league.

Commissioner Exit

If for any reason the commissioner wishes to discontinue his or her duties as commissioner, commissioner abilities will be passed to the co-commissioner. If no co-commissioner exists or a replacement for the commissioner from within the league cannot be found, the league will be disbanded. See DUES for specific conditions in this scenario.

FAIR & EQUITABLE PLAY

The purpose of the league is to host fair play and appropriate conduct throughout the course of the fantasy season. No owner shall knowingly or unknowingly influence the outcome of a game in an unfair or unjust manner. The most common scenarios are covered here, but unfair and unjust play is not limited to the below. Commissioner has discretion on all disputes to enact all or part of the below outlined rules on undocumented unfair play.

Non-Competitive Team

Each owner is responsible for fielding a competitive team each week of the fantasy season. This means that all starting positions on the owners roster are occupied by players eligible to play that week (not injured, suspended, or otherwise deemed “OUT”) and who are not on a bye week. Failure to field a competitive team introduces inequitable play in several ways and can be indistinguishable from collusion in many cases.

Failure to field a competitive team: Offending owner will be fined by the league three and one third percent of the yearly dues, per offending week. This rule shall not be levied on owners of players who are first deemed “OUT” in close proximity to, or during the game that the player would have played. Common sense prevails in these situations.

Unfair Play

While the league employs numerous tools to prevent any team from gaining an unfair advantage, any owner who manages to knowingly or unknowingly gain an unfair advantage shall be dealt with according to the following process:

First offenses, minor in nature (Minor offenses): The commissioner and/or co-commissioner shall together determine appropriate punishment or escalation of the issue to a major offense, which will then be put to a league vote omitting the offending party. If the commissioner or co-commissioner are the offending party, the other will determine the appropriate punishment alone before putting it to the league for a vote.

Second offenses, even minor in nature, shall be treated as major offenses.

Major offenses: owner will not be invited back the following season and will forgo dues and prizes.

Collusion

Players collude to give one player an advantage: Major

Players collude to give another player a disadvantage: Major

Illegal Roster: Minor (Generally software prevents this from happening)

Technical exploitation of software: Major

Illegal use of IR slot: Minor (Generally software prevents this from happening)

Illegal use of commissioner access to information: Minor or Major (depending on situation - up to a league vote)

Commissioners Creed

The commissioner and co-commission assert that they will not use their commissioner status to gain an advantage in any contest. Should an owner have a question regarding gameplay, rules, or procedures that exposes strategy or other information to the commissioner, the commissioner is bound by this rule to not take advantage of that knowledge.

COVID-19 CLAUSE

NFL suspending play during a season

Should the NFL cease gameplay prior to the league championship week for any reason, the fantasy season will be voided. Team rosters will be locked at the time that NFL play is suspended, and each team owner’s dues will be retained and applied to the dues for the following season. If the following season NFL gameplay is also affected, the commissioner will organize a league meeting in the offseason to vote to determine the best way forward for the league given the specific situation encountered.

NFL delaying the start of a season

Should the NFL delay the start of their season for any reason, the commissioner will organize a league meeting to vote to determine the best way forward for the league given the specific situation encountered.
